Leaf Art Project

Leaves designed by students

The Environment Centre, the company who did the Tiny Forest, donated 35 wooden leaves for painting and decorating. These were installed on the fence enclosing the dumpster bins in June 2025. This was a whole school project. All students in the school designed a leaf inspired by the neighbourhood, the environment, and nature. Designs were chosen from each class and those winning students got to paint a wooden leaf and had their work mounted on the fence. This project was inspired by the Stream of Dreams, an environmental fence project using fishes to decorate fences throughout British Columbia. https://www.streamofdreams.org/

We hope to continue to decorate our school with beautiful art work and celebrate the diversity and nature of our neighbourhood.
